National Savings Bank employees to launch strike

The employees of the National Savings Bank have decided to launch a token strike on the 24th of this month.

Assistant Secretary of the Ceylon Bank Employees Union (CBEU) Darshana Premalal has said that the employees will launch a strike to protest against the management of the National Savings Bank since the salary increase that is due once in three years has not taken place.

Meanwhile, the bank employees have been protesting for more than two weeks reporting to work with protest signs and refusing to assist the administration, local media reported.
