A 37-year-old COVID-19 infected patient died while attempting to leave an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospotal.
The deceased is a father of one from the Yasasiripura area in Anuradhapura.
The patient had removed his oxygen and saline drip and shattered the glass door of his room to leave the centre, however the man died after his health condition had worsened after falling down when trying to leave the ICU.
