Sri Lanka Police tolerance level has apparently sunk to a new level. Fed up with the casual attitude of much of the public to the curfew imposed around the country, the Police have decided to be very strict in enforcement of the curfew.
Police have confirmed that there will be no Police bail granted in future arrests and it will be unto the Magistratebto grant bail. Vehicles will also not be released other than after a court appearance.
As of yesterday there had been 4,559 individuals and 1,125 vehicles arrested and the Police also arrested 18 persons from a mosque for illegally gathering there.
