President Sirisena speaks to Sri Lankans in South Korea

Maithripala Sirisena, who is on a three-day official visit to South Korea, speaking to Sri Lankans residing in Seoul, said he did not take up presidency to become a traitor.

President Sirisena also said he would not allow for a federal system to govern the country in any manner.

The president went on to say that he works with the aim to right the wrongs and to ensure that all Sri Lankans can reside in peace and harmony within the country, ensuring that a better living environment is created for all nationals.

President Sirisena added that regardless of the criticisms made by some, he is confident that he has won over the people of the world.
