Selected schools to reopen in July

Minister of Education Professor G.L. Peiris announced on Friday (02) that the Government is considering reopening selected schools in July.

Schools with less than 100 students across the country will be reopened for academic activities this month.

Sri Lanka has nearly 3000 schools islandwide each consisting of less than 100 students.

All teachers will be vaccinated prior to the reopening of the selected schools, Professor Peiris noted.

Meanwhile, all the other remaining schools will resume academic activities under several phases.
