Tharjini Sivalingam, a renowned player and senior member of the Sri Lanka National Netball Team, got married (17). Born on December 30, 1978, in the Jaffna district, Tharjini is the fifth of six siblings. Her impressive netball career, which began in 2004, has made her a beloved figure among netball fans worldwide.

Tharjini’s remarkable height of 6 feet 11 inches has led many media outlets to recognize her as the tallest netball player in the world. Her dedication and self-belief have been instrumental in her ascent to the pinnacle of her sport, where she has consistently aimed to bring glory to her homeland.

One of her most notable achievements came when she scored 74 out of 77 points in a match, leading Sri Lanka’s national girls’ netball team to a stunning victory over the reigning Asian champions, Singapore, with a score of 77-48. Her outstanding performance in this competition, where she scored a total of 380 points, earned her the title of the best shooter.
