Sri Lanka Minister of Sports Faiszer Mustapha will lead a delegation to meet with the officials of the International Cricket Council tomorrow for discussions on Sri Lanka cricket administration.
Minister Mustapha will be accompanied by the Competent Authority of Sri Lanka Cricket Kamal Padmasiri, Senior Deputy Solicitor General of the Attorney General Department Sumathi Dharmawardena and the CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket Ashley De Silva to the International Cricket Council on the 29th August, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said.
They will hold discussions with the ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar and its CEO David Richardson on the same day.
The meeting will focus on discussing the current interim administration of the SLC and the future course of action to be taken to establish an elected administration to the institution.
The ICC last month asked Sri Lanka to hold elections for Sri Lanka Cricket board within six months. Failing to do so will result in ICC reconsidering Sri Lanka’s membership status in the ICC, the Council said.
