Three from the Group of 16 to return to govt.?

The delay in appointing the Cabinet of Ministers is due to three of the 16 members of the SLFP who walked out of the government having expressed their desire to re-join the government, a senior minister has told the media.

The Minister has told an English newspaper that discussions are currently underway to grant these three ministerial positions and this has delayed the impending Cabinet reshuffle.

However, the senior minister has said it is most likely that these three members would re-join the government at the next parliamentary sitting on May 8th or prior to the date.
According to the Minister, in addition to these three, another group is in discussion to join the government.
