COLOMBO (News 1st) – Michael R. Pompeo, Secretary of State stated that the United States condemns in the strongest terms the terror attacks in Sri Lanka on Easter morning (April 21).
The United States offers its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed and wishes a quick recovery to all who were injured.
US State Department issued a Travel Advisory to all US Citizens to exercise increased caution in Sri Lanka due to terrorism.

The advisory added that terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, local government facilities, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, major sporting and cultural events, educational institutions, airports, and other public areas.
