For the first time in the history of the country, the Sri Lanka Postal Department digitalised the issuing of stamps.
At an event held at the Ministry of Media, a stamp valued at Rs.25 along with a QR code was introduced by the Postal Department.
By scanning the QR code, the public can obtain information on the stamp, related news, and can access the Postal Department’s official website.
A new high-value postal stamp with a new secret security feature was also introduced.
