Debate on bond commission and PRECIFAC reports in parliament on February 20, 21

The debate on the reports of the two presidential commissions which investigated the Central Bank bond issue and serious frauds and corruption during the previous government will be held on February 20 and 21.

This decision was taken at the party leaders’ meeting chaired by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya this afternoon.

The President had informed the Speaker that he expects to call the party leaders next week to explain the process of presenting the two reports to the House, the Speaker said at the meeting.

The Reports of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) were tabled in parliament Tuesday.
