Northern Provincial Council (NPC) members are reportedly in Geneva to seek the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to exert pressure on Sri Lanka to deliver on its promises.
Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran has been quoted as saying in the media that NPC members M.K. Sivajilingham and Anandi Saseetharan are currently in Geneva.
Wigneswaran has said the two provincial councilors will inform the UNHRC of the NPC position on the human rights issue.
