Law and Order Minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara says that most of the perpetrators behind the recent clashes in the Kandy District were from areas outside the district.
The Minister has told the media that about 25 percent of the culprits were from outside areas.
According to Madduma Bandara, the areas in the Kandy District that were affected by the clashes have now returned to normalcy.
