The Road Development Authority says, traffic congestion is reported in areas close to the Welipenna and Kokmaduwa exit points, on the Southern Expressway, as a result of the Matugama and Kananke areas being inundated.
Motorists have been requested to reduce their speeds to 60 kmph when driving along the Southern Expressway and exercise caution.
