The Mahanayake of the Asgiri Chapter Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thero has written to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan over the brutal killing of Sri Lankan expatriate Priyantha Kumara Diayawadana in Sialkot, Pakistan recently.
Diyawadana was brutally assaulted and lynched by a mob in Sialkot, Pakistan on Friday (03).
In a letter addressed to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Mahanayake of the Asgiri Chapter said he was impressed with the prompt actions taken by the Prime Minister of Pakistan with regard to the incident.

Venerable Gnanarathana Thero pointed out that right after the incident the Pakistani Prime Minister had immediately condemned the attack, ensured the arrest of the extremists involved in the murder, and had taken measures to enforce the law against them.
He further said the actions of the Pakistani Prime Minister will further strengthen the long-standing cordial and friendly ties between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
