A Cabinet Sub-Committee under Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalaka Godahewa has been appointed to identify new investment opportunities that have the potential to attract foreign investments (FDIs) expeditiously.
Speaking at a media conference held yesterday at the Government Information Department to inform the decisions taken at this week’s Cabinet meeting, Dr. Godahewa said a Cabinet Sub-Committee with Ministers representing the areas with potential for investment opportunities as a solution to the current foreign exchange crisis in the country.
The committee comprising of Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalaka Godahewa (Chairman) includes Transport and Industries Minister Dilum Amunugama, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara, Ports and Shipping Minister Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon and Urban Development State Minister Lohan Ratwatte.
