The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today (25) has arrested a former Deputy Governor of Central Bank and three directors of Perpetual Treasuries LTd. (PTL) over the Central Bank bond scam.
Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank Paththinige Samarasiri and three directors of the Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) Pushpamitra Gunawardena, Chitta Ranjan Hulugalle and Muthuraja Surendran were arrested this morning, Police Headquarters said.
The suspects were arrested at their residences as a result of the investigations conducted by the CID regarding the Central Bank bond scam, the Police Headquarters said.

Former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, his son-in-law and Director of PTL Arjun Aloysius and CEO Kasun Palisena have been charged as main suspects of the massive fraud.
