A former director of the Terrorism Investigations Division (TID), DIG Chandra Wagista, is to be questioned by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in connection with the murder of the Editor of The Sunday Leader Lasantha Wickrematunge.
It is learnt that the former TID Chief is to be quizzed over certain revelations made by DIG Prasanna Nanayakkara who was arrested and interrogated over Lasantha’s murder.
Nanayakkara has reportedly told investigators that he had given the slain journalist’s notebook to Wagista.
