General amnesty declared for absentee armed forces personnel

Absentee armed forces personnel have been granted a general amnesty to receive a legal discharge from their respective services.

Issuing a statement yesterday (28), the Ministry of Defence declared a general amnesty for this purpose.

The Ministry said the period of general amnesty will be enforced from 15th November until 31st December 2022.

Accordingly, the armed forces personnel who have been absent without leave (AWOL) on or before 25.10.2022 will be able to receive their discharge from military service and if any amount is due, it should be settled prior to the discharge.
