Indictments were handed over to MP Wimal Weerawansa today before Colombo High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi.
The charges involved the possession of assets worth Rs.75 million which could not have been earned through his salaries and other incomes during his tenure as a Minister
The case against Wimal Weerawansa was filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.When the case was taken up, the parliamentarian rejected the charges levelled against him
