The Health Ministery of Sri Lanka has decided to begin vaccinating pregnant women around the country starting 09 June.
The decision was made by a request forwarded to the Sri Lanka College Of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (SLCOG), the association stated.
SLCOG President, consultant physician Pradeep De Silva says that they expect to complete the vaccination program of pregnant women within a month.
Vaccinations will begin at the Castle Street hospital for women and will later continue the vaccination drive from the Piliyandala MOH area.
