Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has signed the gazette notification proclaiming the next parliamentary session.
Accordingly, parliament is summoned on May 08, at 2:15 pm, the extraordinary gazette notification issued on Monday said.
The President by virtue of the powers vested in him by Article 70 of the Constitution prorogued Parliament with effect from the midnight of the 12th of April 2018.
