The Sri Lanka Police has been granted special permission by the Colombo Magistrate Court to detain former MP Rishad Bathiudeen’s wife, Father-in-law & the broker for 48 hours.
According to the Police, the suspects have been arrested for the offences of human trafficking and cruelty to children, while the Police have been ordered to produce them in court on Monday (26 July) after questioning.
The Police have also received permission to detain the brother-in-law of former MP Bathiudeen who was arrested over sexual abuse allegations.
