A total of Rs. 310 million has been released from the Mahapola Trust Fund for the Mahapola scholarships support of university students, the Education Ministry said.
It said the funds were released with the intervention of the Education Ministry.
Accordingly, the Mahapola scholarship for the months of March and April will be credited to the students’ accounts this week, the Ministry added. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
