Two flights were diverted to the Mattala International Airport today owing to bad weather at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake this morning.
Officials said that a passenger plane from Dubai was diverted to Mattala before it returned to the BIA while a SriLankan Airlines flight arriving from Mumbai was also diverted to Mattala before it returned to the BIA later.
