Customs Officers Association has decided to launch a trade union action to protest the failure of the government to provide necessary solutions to the existing salary disparities.
This trade union action will be carried out on 4th and 5th of October, according to the Co-Secretary of the association Sameera Wickramasinghe.
Accordingly, all customs employees will join the strike by calling in sick during the aforesaid two days, Co-Secretary of the association further stated.
