Kurdistan Region to develop relations with Sri Lanka in all fields

The Kurdistan Region Government (KRG) is ready to develop relations with Sri Lanka in all fields, the Head of KRG Department of Foreign Relations Minister Falah Mustafa has said receiving Sri Lanka’s new Honorary Consul to the region.

Minister Falah Mustafa received the newly appointed Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka to the Kurdistan Region Mr. Ahmad Jalaladin Mustafa on Tuesday October 31st, 2017.

Minister Falah Mustafa accepted his credentials and congratulated him on assuming his new post. He voiced his department’s readiness to extend to him all necessary support and facilitation, adding that the KRG is willing to develop relations in all fields with Sri Lanka.

Mr. Ahmad Mustafa shed light on the policies of the Sri Lankan government in foreign relations and pointed out that the Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs is interested in establishing relations with the Kurdistan Region.

Both sides discussed ways of creating beneficial relations in many fields of cooperation especially in the fields of education, higher education, agriculture, trade and tourism.
