Telecommunication providers up service charges, VAT

Telecommunication providers said that they will increase all mobile and broadband charges by 20% and pay TV by 25% with effect from September 5.

It is reported that the tariff increased due to the depreciation of the rupee as the operating costs have increased.

In addition, the value added tax or VAT rate for related services will also to be increased from 12% to 15%.
