Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull who has arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (02) for an official visit met with the Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena a short while ago.
Prime Minister Turnbull will also meet Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during his visit this morning for bilateral discussions. .
Earlier the Australian High Commission in Colombo in a statement said the Australian Premier expects to hold discussions on strengthening economic links, defense engagement, and their work together to combat transnational crime, particularly people-smuggling.
