Former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and 07 others who had been over the 2016 Central Bank bond scam had been granted bail by the Colombo High Court Trial-at-Bar.
The accused were released on Rs. 1 million cash bail and two surety bail of Rs 5 million each.
The court ordered that one of the sureties should be a close relative.

A travel ban has been imposed on the accused by the court and was warned that if attempted to exert influence on the witnesses, the bail would be revoked and the defendants would be remanded until the end of the trial.
The case will be taken up again on April 11.
