President inaugurates National Defence Academy

The establishment of a National Defense College fulfills a big need as well as gives facilities to obtain strategic education, says President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

He made these remarks at the inauguration of the National Defense Academy this morning (11), which is constructed in the Mumtaz Mahal, the former official residence of the Speaker of the Parliament.

Pointing out that Sri Lanka did not have any facilities to obtain strategic education, the President stated that this academy will attract senior military officers who can add an international perspective to the academy.
