Sri Lanka Customs Tuesday (17) seized stock of hashish which has been sent to a journalist in Sri Lanka from Spain by air freight.
The hashish stock hidden in a skateboard was seized at the Airmail Parcel Section of the Colombo Central Mail Exchange (CME) in Colombo. It was sent to a freelance journalist residing in Nugegoda.
The stock of hashish weighing 1.4 kilograms is estimated to be worth Rs. 1.4 million.
The suspect freelance journalist was arrested when he arrived at the Airmail Parcel Section of the CME to collect the parcel.
