Mangala Samaraweera was an exceptional kingmaker in Sri Lanka’s political landscape.
His vision for a fully inclusive and equitable life for all in Sri Lanka was rare amongst his peers.
The reconciliation process, the hopes of a truly One Sri Lanka will undoubtedly take several steps back without the vision and foresight of people the likes of Mangala.
His impeccable personal ethics and financial probity will be difficult to equal and will certainly be sorely missed by the republic of Sri Lanka.
