A Police constable was hospitalized after being stabbed in the face. The injured was attacked around 12 pm while on duty in Passara by a vendor who was running a small shop.
The suspect was arrested with the knife.
The injured officer was admitted to the Passara District Hospital and later transferred to the Badulla General Hospital.
