Colombo High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi today ordered to make submissions on March 02 on the case against former Senior DIG Western Province Anura Senanayake who is charged with concealing the evidence of the murder of rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.
Considering the information made available to the court that the former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake has been sick and unable to attend court, the judge ordered that the witness lists of both sides be presented to court on the 30th.
The Attorney General has charged the defendant of committing an offense punishable under Section 198 of the Penal Code for concealing the evidence of the murder of rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.

When the case was taken up for hearing today, attorneys appearing on behalf of the former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake said that he was unable to appear in court as he was in serious condition.
